Very consistent stopping power
High spin across both models
T-3 tested as one of the highest spinning wedges on full shots
Launch Naturally lower, more penetrating flight

Progressive CG keeps launch consistent across lofts
Easy to control trajectory regardless of grind choice
Mid–high launch
Easy to get the ball up, especially on softer shots
T-1: Mid–low launch (traditional blade flight)
T-3: Mid launch (slightly easier to elevate)
Forgiveness SP: Moderate (tour-style shaping)
SP+: Higher (slightly more forgiving shaping and sole interaction)

Benchmark wedge in 2026
Elite spin, consistency, and versatility
Widely regarded as the "gold standard" wedge
Underrated all-round wedge
Strong balance of spin + forgiveness + playability
T-1 = ultimate feel and control (player's wedge)
T-3 = same feel with more forgiveness and usability
Both have great feel and feedback
Our Staff's Comments

"I have used these wedges since they came out (was playing the Jaws Raw), and they suit my game really well. I play a lot of shots with a square face, so I need to rely on consistent spin and launch, which these deliver perfectly. I have really liked going back to the traditional chrome finish from the Raw one as I personally found the rust distracting."

"I have definitely felt more consistency playing the SM11 compared to the SM10. On a recent trip to Titleist they explained that this is because they have centralised the CG placement to create the perfect flight window for each loft and grind."

"I've had the S259s in my bag for two months now and absolutely love them. It's the first time I've adjusted the lie angles on wedges and noticed the difference — I don't get shots going left for me. The new feel off the face, versus the S159, is as soft as Ping says they are. I couldn't be happier!"

"I've used the H grind since its inception with S159, I loved it so much that I've carried it into S259. I tend to get quite steep and have found this option in both 58 and 54 really helps. Also, most of the time in Auckland, conditions are slightly softer which the H grind thrives in. I threw caution to the wind and let my kids pick the wedge colour and custom stamping. Let's just say the results speak for themselves… Pink infill all round!"

"I've been using the Mizuno Pro T-1s for about a year now, and they've been great. The compact shape sits really nicely behind the ball and gives you confidence, especially around the greens. The standout for me is the feel. Being forged, they give really soft, responsive feedback off the face. Overall, they're just reliable wedges that do exactly what you expect."
